I've just finished reading one of the best professional development books I've read (ever), and certainly the best one I've read this year. A 360-Degree View of the Creative World — Almost every freelancer has a dream—but the practical pitfalls of freelancing or owning your own business often get in the way. She's provided a wealth of tips and resources for freelance writers, both online and off. Steve Slaunwhite, a successful copywriter and writing/business trainer, and a few associates have created a new blog that is well worth reading - The Wealthy. The Wealthy Freelancer by Steve Slaunwhite, Pete Savage, Ed Gandia. Then, after publishing The Wealthy Freelancer, a book on copywriting, he began offering workshops on copywriting and freelancing. Picked up a copy of The Wealthy Freelancer: 12 Secrets to a Great Income and an Enviable Lifestyle last week. Joan Kremer's last blog post..How Second Life Cured One Writer's Allergy to Networking. I started blogging as a springboard to freelance writing. The Wealthy Freelancer exceeded my expectations by… well… a lot. If you are a freelancer or thinking about freelancing, The Wealthy Freelancer provides principles and action steps for building any type of freelance business. The Wealthy Freelancer - 12 Secrets to a Great Income and an Enviable Lifestyle by Steve Slaunwhite, Pete Savage, and Ed Gandia. The Wealthy Freelancer is a book full of practical, immediately applicable information from some of the most successful freelancers around — Steve Slaunwhite, Pete Savage and Ed Gandia. As I mentioned in a related post, the book is so much more than inspirational mumbo jumbo. The Wealthy Freelancer: 12 Secrets to a Great Income and an Enviable Lifestyle- Explains in detail how to build a high income in virtually any freelance occupation. Last year, I was interviewed by Ed Gandia, who was working on an interesting book project about freelancing with fellow writers Pete Savage and Steve Slaunwhite. The “50-minute focus” discussed by Steve Slaunwhite in The Wealthy Freelancer, comes to my mind here (earlier pioneered by Eugene Schwartz as a “33 minute, 33 second” unit of work). Now he continues to perform a mix of work.
